Indie/alt newcomer YutaY has returned with his new single “Fever Dream,” and a dark humor music video to accompany it. The NYC-native, now-LA-resident came out of the gates strong in 2020 with his debut track “Run,” which landed on Spotify’s coveted Fresh Finds and received immediate radio support on LA’s World Famous KROQ and San Francisco’s ALT 105.3. “Fever Dream” is an indie dance track in the vein of Glass Animals and Twenty One Pilots, and focuses on the dark parts of a manipulative relationship.
“It’s the soundtrack to love that makes you sick,” YutaY explains. “The kind where the ground is never solid, so you fall deeply through the cracks of emotional manipulation. Where the other person doesn’t really know what they want, so they toy with you to find out.”
YutaY will drop his debut EP in early 2022, and more new music is expected before then. For now, check out the “Fever Dream” official music video below.
