Wallace Tallman Shares American Human Nature

Just ahead of the most important election in U.S. history, Chicago’s Wallace Tallman has released his new EP American Human Nature, which chronicles the reality he thought he grew up in followed by the true reality of America in 2020. The collection is made up of brooding, emotional tracks – somewhere between the lines of Jeff Buckley and Andrew Belle.

American Human Nature is the result of me trying to reason with the absurdity and chaos of the last four years of ‘politics’ in the US,” says Tallman. “An examination of the cycle of emotions I’ve gone through and observed. Getting into the heads of people across the political spectrum, and asking the questions I would if I met them in person.”

The EP follows his very recent release of Repa(i)r[then]ation, which is a reflection on privilege and complicity, and a statement of solidarity with the Black community. Tallman aims to use his platform to elevate Black voices and create an outlet to expose injustice in America.

Fans can expect more new music from Tallman in the near future, but for now – enjoy American Human Nature below.
