Kids, I love to get excited…and I am excited, stoked, and crazy happy that Matador Records has leaked a track from former Sonic Youth genius Thurston Moore’s upcoming record Best Day. It’s scheduled for release on October 21 and features his new band The Thurston Moore Band with guitarist James Sedwards, Deb Googe on bass, and Steve Shelley keeping the beat. The band hits the road starting in Europe on 8/21 then comes to the US starting 9/4. Best Day is available for pre order at the Matador store (first 100 gets an autographed poster), Amazon and iTunes, where you’ll get access to the single “The Best Day” immediately. Hopefully that will keep the kittens sated until the album drops. I love me some Thurston and can’t wait to get my ears on Best Day!
