There has been much media hubbub lately regarding the relations between Israel and the United States. If that is your kind of thing, you’ve fallen onto the wrong website. Let’s be honest, it’s good to know what is going on in the world but politics is stressful. Despite political differences we can certainly unite over music. Out of Tel Aviv comes The Young Professionals, an electropop duo comprised of Ivri Lider and Johnny Goldstein. They’ve got a new song and video we can all come together over entitled “All of It But Me” ft. Anna F. off their second album Quick, Quick, Star, Star, Money, Money, due out this year.
“All Of It But Me” depicts the struggle for a spot within the mind of your lover. The video is a great avant garde representation of the images that encompass the mind like “memories of your father, pictures of your mother, and boys you loved when you were sixteen.” With such a dance/electro track you really couldn’t expect anything beyond the avant garde look. Yet, for those who are familiar with the band. the look does not stray too far from what you’re used to. The great thing about The Young Professionals is their attention to detail. Their videos are more of an art piece rather than just a promotional tool. If you look at the cuts between the mothers, fathers, sisters, and boys that she loved at the age of sixteen and nineteen, the wardrobe and makeup stands out almost as if you’re watching a very cohesive fashion show.
Upbeat euro-disco is not really getting much attention out in the States. yet with the slight blend of EDM meets a dance synth twist it really eases the US pop and EDM worlds into what they’re truly missing out on. Euro-pop PERFECTION.
