The Mama Rags release Hectic Electric

mama rags 2Just in time for summer, Seattle-based classic rock group, The Mama Rags, unleashed their debut EP Hectic Electric on June 16. This 4 song powerhouse of an album will have you rocking out with the top down.  Solid, pounding baselines combine with guitar riffs that beg to be turned up as the highway miles roll by on a hot summer evening.  This isn’t just reminiscent of rock and roll…this IS rock and roll.  Hints of everything from Credence Clearwater Revival to the Rolling Stones to more modern bands like Stereophonics or Sloan are mixed together to make The Mama Rags a true original in the music scene.

If you love a good hook, then “Borrowed Time” is your jam.  This song with its vintage styling and solid rock lyrics kills it for me every time.  “Change You” showcases a laid back feel while the title track “Hectic Electric” sums up this band in its two word title.  These guys know who they are and aren’t afraid to show it.  Call them vintage. Call them classic. Call them a modern twist on old time rock and roll.  Just call them The Mama Rags and check out their new EP!
