The Brothers Koren Ready New Album With “Like Water” Single

Accomplished indie-folk duo The Brothers Koren have returned with their new single “Like Water” – a beautifully written track about the rarity of true love and the struggles we endure to find it, appealing to fans of Damien Rice, Bon Iver, and Jamie Drake. You may remember the brothers as Fransancisco, who started teasing their new album I Went to the Sea to Be Free in early 2020 before the pandemic derailed their plans. Back with a new moniker and a refreshed mindset, the duo is set to release their album in June via Rockwood Music.

“These songs made beauty from unspeakable loss and weaved gold from the lead in our hearts,” says Isaac Koren on the forthcoming album. “We took ourselves on a songwriting journey, starting with a mess of ideas and slowly weaving the threads together, we created a songbook we are proud to share.”

Although the wrath of 2020 swallowed their music plans whole, The Brothers Koren did launch  The Collective Songwriting Experiment – a virtual songwriting experience for brands, organizations, and charities to help with team building and overall camaraderie. The experience allows for large groups or teams to write an entire song with the brothers via a Zoom call, which includes everything from the lyrics to the melodies to the chord progressions and everything in between. The experience has been utilized by Coca Cola, Exponential Medicine at Singularity University, Daybreaker, and more.
