LA garage/punk trio TEST have dropped their deubt LP BRAIN IN / BRAIN OUT – a collection of gritty, hard-hitting tracks that seem to explode out of your headphones while you’re listening. They’ve been described as a combination of brit rock & 70s punk – somewhat reminiscent of The Hives or The Clash – or perhaps the offspring of the two.
As the band has navigated the music landscape, they’ve gone from reckless abandon to calculated musicianship & motivation – a far cry from their humble beginnings in Vernon, an industrial underbelly of Los Angeles. “This album reflects our outlook on life by bridging two formative periods of our lives,” says vocalist Stokes. “Our past is all over this record, but our future is too and that feels good.”
The future is promising for a band like TEST, who is so clearly dedicated to their craft. Make sure to stream their new album BRAIN IN / BRAIN OUT below.
