Seattle psych-pop outfit Spirit Award have dropped their fantastic, artistic new album Neverending via the folks at Union Zero – an emerging independent label force in the Pacific Northwest. The album is an indie kid’s dream come true – with eerie synth lines and fuzzy bass and haunting vocals soaring throughout. Fans of Wolf Parade, The National, and Deerhunter will undoubtedly get their fix with these 10 tracks.
Spirit Award credit the death of a family member, anxiety, a robbery, and the ending of a relationship for the record’s pensive, yet hopeful look into the future. Through all this, the band continued working on the record over the course of two years, which is why it garnered the name, Neverending.
We’re excited to see where this talented trio goes on the heels of their new album. Be sure to take a listen below, and keep up with the band on Facebook and Instagram.
