AKA Felix Bloxsom, Platic Plates once again teams up with childhood friend Sam Sparro to make phenomenal dance music. This time the collaboration is for a special Valentine’s Day original release, “Stay In Love”
Can the conversation about the crazy range of notes and textures that Sparro’s voice creates just keep going? It is virtually impossible not to fall in love with it and what he does with it. When married with an equally talented DJ/producer, the result is yet another “shake your ass” dance track. Plastic Plates shows mad respect for Sam’s love of funky disco while still including futuristic effects. The beats are fresh and not rehashed. This song is not just for Valentine’s Day but all year-round people will be dancing to this track. It should be in every club DJ’s catalog and in regular rotation. “Stay In Love” also has the potential to be an excellent addition to Sparro’s live-show set lists. This song is the intelligent next step after Plastic Plates’ remix release a year ago of “Shades Of Grey” from Sam’s debut album Return to Paradise.
Considering previous appearances on Sparro’s records, hopefully Felix’s contributions will continue on additions to his current series of EPs.
“Stay In Love”is now available on iTunes.
