With an intro seemingly destined for a TV advert, “Tosh” by Utah duo Oh, Be Clever is already on its way to becoming an earworm before the vocals even come in…
And when they do they don’t disappoint, with singer Brittney Shields’ grit-pop style lending a perfectly sultry attitude to make it stand out from the crowd. Simple, catchy and upbeat, this has all the ingredients needed to become a modern anthem: whistling, clapping and a sing-along chorus.
Break-up songs are rarely uplifting but this is empowering rather than wallowing and will get people on their feet from house party to stadium.
