What can be said about LA’s Molly Moore that hasn’t already been said? She’s killing it in the blog scene, racking up the plays on Soundcloud, and seems to have her finger directly on the pulse in terms of songwriting and branding. Her latest effort, a tasty electro-pop jam called “Indigo,” comes via her forthcoming EP Now You See Me, which is out on November 8. The track has that larger-than-life chorus and is essentially radio ready, featuring heavy beats accompanied by trumpets (yes, trumpets). It’s damn good stuff.
“This song was inspired by the concept of Indigo Children (i.e.: children who are believed to possess special, unusual, and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities),” explains Moore. “A lot of times, these children are wrongly diagnosed as having learning disabilities. This concept struck home for me as I feel this happens more often than not, to children & adults alike, and in many different ways. I identify with Indigo Children and I think it’s a topic that definitely deserves attention.”
