Mike and Rachel Paying it Forward in a Big Way

We live in a world full of selfies and self-involvement so when something wonderful and good comes into our world, we need to spread the goodness. Mike Brun and Rachel Brotman met when they were at Tulane University in New Orleans and even though they’re now based out of Brooklyn they have decided to give back to the music culture that enhanced their lives. The two came together to cover Björk’s “All is Full of Love” with all proceeds going to Community Works of Louisiana. The organization offers after school programs in various artistic mediums like film, dance and music to 650 kids on a daily basis through a partnership with 6 schools. Art in schools has been shown to improve the learning in students. So go to the Bandcamp link check out and buy the song knowing the proceeds are going to a wonderful enterprise. It’s awesome to see artists giving back to the communities that have helped inspire them. The ultimate pay it forward.
