Introducing – Joy Crookes

When music makes you do more than just listen you know it is something special.

“New Manhattan” is an epic love song, inspired by a trip to the red-light district of North Brussels.  Right from the first seconds, your senses are lifted with a cinematic blend of harp and guitar.  Thoughts and imagery immediately flash by in the windmills of your mind…of places and feelings.   Then you have the sweet and soulful voice of 17-year-old Joy Crookes to guide you further.

Sweeping nostalgic strings help to provide a classic, almost Bond-theme air before the beats interrupt with a character as deep, dreamy and compelling as the vocal.

It’s a captivating debut and you should be looking forward to the forthcoming album.
