Emily Roberts is one more pop-soul singer-songwriter, and there are so many of them these days…but Roberts has an extra je ne sais quoi that got my attention. Some of her tunes are straight-up pop like “Lion’s Heart” while others are darker like “Night” but you can tell that Roberts has poured her heart in all of them. You can also tell that this first EP is a first step, a pretty cute step but I’m sure the next one will be even better and more mature as she develops her vocal and guitar talents.
I snapped a quick picture of her at Soho House in Berlin where she gave a very private and very emotional acoustic show to an attentive public, turned into fans on the spot by her genuine performance.
