Goldilox Set for Release of Very Best

Canadian-born enigmatic electro-pop songwriter Goldilox will release her highly anticipated new album Very Best next week, and it is chock full of tasty little jams. Inspired by the timeless disco era, the album is all about people claiming back their freedom through music and dance. “Women had never been so strong and idolized during that period in music,” Goldilox explains. “And on top of it, the revolution was all about fun.”

Goldilox released her debut EP Skin via Sony in 2016, which garnered over 500,000 streams on Spotify. She eventually found a way out of her contract to focus on being an independent artist, while also seeing success as a model, working with several high profile designers, photographers, and events. Perhaps most notably, she was styled by Diletta Bonaiuti in Milan for Luisviaroma, which went on to be featured in Rolling Stone. Additionally, Goldilox received numerous invites for Milan fashion week 2016, appearing at events such as the Mario Testino Party, Vogue Italia, and Diesel’s Black and Gold party and fashion show, to name a few.

The accomplished artist – now based in Paris – has come a long way since 2016, and has truly come into her own this year. Very Best takes the best part of disco, funk, and soul, and blends it with modern-day electro-pop production. She has a Madonna-esque aura about her with her movements and vocal delivery.

Very Best will be available on all digital platforms on July 31st, but for now – watch the video for the album’s lead single “I Love You” below.
