The Boston-based synth-pop group, Gentlemen Hall released the official lyric video to its single, “All Our Love.” The sextet with the tag line ‘Spread the Love… the Revolution is Here’ hopes that the upbeat track about universal love works to bring people together. And with its soaring vocals and catchy chorus, the song is certain to at least have everyone joining in to sing along.
The band is comprised of Gavin Merlot (vocals, guitar), Cobi Mike (vocals, guitar), Ro Richard (bass guitar), Bradford Alderman (vintage synthesizers), Phil Boucher (drums, percussion, glockenspiel), and Seth Hachen (flute, piccolo) – a big group with a big sound. I have actually followed the band for a few years now, after I happened to catch a Dallas show at which the group was the opener. The friends I was with were blown away by the energy and intensity of Gentlemen Hall and every one of us walked out with a CD that night. And trust me, that is saying something.
The band continues to collect accolades, including MTV’s Best Breakout Band in 2009; Boston’s Best Act in 2011; winner of Billboard’s Battle of the Bands in 2011; a national television debut performance at the Billboard Music Awards, the first independent band to ever do so; and “Pop/Indie Artist of the Year” at the New England Music Awards held earlier this year. Recently signed with Island Records and currently in the studio working on new music to be released in early 2014, Gentlemen Hall is definitely a band making a much deserved move to the national stage.
