I am always excited when I can listen to some kind of new and quirky sounds, and I am excited to have found Hippidons and their EP titled From Outer Space. Hippidons are a newish band from Argentina, made up of five dudes influenced by Depeche Mode and Foster the People to name a few. The sound of this EP is almost as if MGMT decided to be adopted by the Jetsons, they definitely have an Elroy groove going on. It’s a fun listen, danceable, and something I haven’t heard before, so it definitely rates in my book. Strap on your laser cats and get to downloading From Outer Space by Hippidons.
