Friday FourPlay – 24 July

OLAR ENERGYHere’s some of the hottest, latest music to pleasure yourself with…

EMPRESS OF – “Kitty Kat”

This is an electronic blast of seemingingly random noise which gradually makes perfect sense as all the components settle after 20 or 30 seconds.  Compelling, fresh and full of energy, you will be addicted to this new single and video from Empress Of taken from her Me album, out in September.

THE PALMS – “Push Off”

Gentle piano-driven classic indie rock with a nice, raspy vocal.  It is anthemic without being contrived and a good introduction to The Palms who feature two members from Terraplane Suns.

THE MARKS CARTEL – “Take Me Home”

Welsh four-piece The Marks Cartel showcase a new song with the upbeat funk of Franz Ferdinand mixed with a northern swagger.  This is their new single and it’s out today!

THE PINSTRIPE PIGEON BAND – “Never Be Apart”

Cool, trippy electronica with a 90s flavour like a more soulful Saint Etienne.  “Never be Apart” is taken from the forthcoming Sound Asleep EP (out 3 August)
