Friday FourPlay – 21 August

The weeks are flying by but there still has to be time for FourPlay.  Here are some brand new videos, from artists old and new, to cause a frisson in your undergarments….

PEACHES – “Close Up” (feat. Kim Gordon)

It’s Peaches!
It’s Kim Gordon!
What do you expect?
This is the second single from Peaches’ forthcoming album, Rub Out (out Sept 25) and it’s rather good.

CARLEY AUSTIN – “Through Her Eyes”

Slow, brooding electro soul in the vein of Banks or Lapsley, “Through Her Eyes” is the debut single from 21-year old Sydney artist Carley Austin.  Stylish and cinematic in sound and vision, it is released on September 4.

DOCTOR GODDARD – “Without Love”

Opening with a hazy, summery 60s sound, “Without Love” takes in classic rock with elements of The Doors and Temples.  It is released on September 4 and you can find out more about Doctor Goddard via Facebook

WOODES x ELKKLE – “Flash Mob”

A slow burner featuring delicate vocals and ambient sonics from collaborators Woodes x Elkkle.  This is the third release from their forthcoming EP and a great song to wind down this week’s column.

As a lover of music, cats and chocolate it was inevitable that Paul would end up writing for us. A tireless singer/songwriter from the UK with a tiresome number of music projects, his worrying knowledge of the 80s and the evolution of crisps and confectionery (or chips and candy for our US readers) has seen him both gain jobs and lose friends.
