Chicago-to-LA transplant Freddy Tyler Paul has dropped his debut single & video “Running on Fumes” — a festival-ready indie-pop gem about the love of being on the road. Paul is a creative of many kinds, having found success in photography, production, songwriting, and performing. The young artist will release his debut album Missed Connections this year, which features 10 tracks coated with Freddy’s moody and dynamic vocals that toe the line between Mac DeMarco, Tame Impala, and Still Woozy.
“This track is an encapsulation of what I’ve learned about myself over the course the last couple years,” Freddy explains. “Sure, I Iove the home base that is my tiny LA apartment/studio with all its little musical toys. However, the road is where I feel most comfortable and free. That’s not something that seems to be going away and I plan on nurturing that desire over the coming years.”
