Fransancisco Release Stunning Cover of Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work”

The California duo comprised of The Brothers Koren, Fransancisco, has re-imagined Kate Bush’s iconic ballad “This Woman’s Work” from a male parent perspective.

“It is an honor to sing into the unthinkable sadness that a mother must endure and sing out from the heart of the grieving father,” offers Isaac, the older of the Brothers Koren, who witnessed and supported his brother and family through their darkest night. Early in 2020, Thorald Koren lost his baby boy Jack, who suffered from severe brain injuries since his birth in late 2018. He was immediately supported and loved by his family, nurses, and many others for over a year.

Fransancisco’s iteration of the song is a deeply emotional indie-folk masterpiece that will have you right there in the room with Thorald and Isaac. It’ll be featured on the duo’s debut album, Went to the Sea to Be Free, which was written in dedication to the brothers’ grandmother who they never met.
