Finnish indie rockers Sakia have released a new single called “Parallel Universe”. This track was truly a labor of love. Once a ballad, the band really wanted to push limits with this track by re-writing lyrics and re-recording.
“We recorded the song as early as last spring and we realized during the summer that we weren’t 100% satisfied with it. So I rewrote the lyrics and Matti (vocalist) went back to record all the vocals once more. This postponed the release but made the song far better”, Sakia’s guitarist Timo Mäkelä explained. The band added some beats and increased the song’s tempo a bit too. Who knew a break-up song could be so upbeat?
