NYC duo CLAVVS has released their dreamy indie dance track “Stay Forever” and announced their forthcoming album O, due out in July. It was written in the midst of lockdown loneliness but carries a midnight pool party vibe with it that’ll make you want to put that 2nd vaccine dose to use and dance the night away. Many may already be familiar with Graham Marsh (one-half of CLAVVS) from his successful production career, where he landed four Grammy wins and worked with artists like Gnarls Barkley, Kid Cudi, Lauryn Hill, & more. Together with the amazing Amber Renee, the duo have combined their talent and found immediate success with CLAVVS, securing placements in Netflix’s You, Tiny Pretty Things, Locke & Key, and Charmed, and others while sharing the stage with names like Ibeyi, Baio, and Siames.
“It’s for anyone missing someone,” explains Renee on the track. “I was imagining the moment I get to be with my friends and family again and suspending it in time. It’s about building a world where we can stay in the joy of the moment together. It has a bittersweet feeling to me, like I want to dance and cry at the same time. Maybe because I know nothing really stays forever, and that’s beautiful in its own way.”
Keep an eye out for CLAVVS’ upcoming album O, out on July 29th. For now, check out “Stay Forever” below.
Smooth. Uplifting vibe. It’s what I imagine it sounds like being a “nightclub” these days.
