If you aren’t familiar with the outrageous vocal range of LA’s Chanel Lóran yet, you’re certainly in for a treat. The newly-turned-18 year old just released her latest effort in the form of “Take It” – an ode to her 90s pop/R&B musical inspirations Mariah Carey, Aaliyah, and others. The song will make you move, whether you like it or not, and truly showcases the young vocalist’s talent from start to finish. Complimented by the very on-point production of emerging producer Josh Igloo, “Take It” is the anthem we all needed.

“The song is about growing into the person you’re supposed to be and taking your power back from people who try to tell you who you are,” explains Chanel. We can certainly all relate!

Check out “Take It” below, and keep an eye out for more new music from Chanel Lóran in the coming months.
