Our favorite socio-political goth punks are at it again. Calling All Astronauts have released their cover of the Stooges classic, “I Wanna Be Your Dog.” Let me be the first to say that it is simply amazing. It is refreshing to hear a cover that is nothing like the original. The song enters with more of a hard electro rock sound that’s the signature of Calling all Astronauts. Take a minute to check out the original. Are you done yet? Okay! Now take a listen to the Calling All Astronauts version. David Bury’s vocals transform the entire mood of the song to something a little more powerful, edgy and aggressive. Calling All Astronauts does not disappoint. Completely handling the production themselves, CAA has proven they have what it takes to not only cover, but create.
