The pop-R&B queen of the Pacific Northwest, none other than ALITA, is back with her definitive statement single “I’m Not Your Mother.” The track is a departure from her previous “feel-good pop” material and catapults her into a new dimension of unabashed honesty. Coming off a busy 2020 which saw her release her first four singles and land coveted support from Spotify, “I’m Not Your Mother” marks her first effort of 2021.

ALITA describes it as “a song about resistance & self-discovery in the face of modern romance; it explores the implicit & explicit expectations placed on women throughout history. And how empowering it feels to set yourself free from carrying someone else’s emotions on your back.”
