Alex Trugman’s Marionette

After appearing on American Idol Season 8 and making it to the top 36, Alex Trugman is set to release his debut album, Marionette. The album, produced by Rob Poland, is out now and promises to be a musical and lyrical treat.

“I wanted to write a record that I felt was honest and represented who I am,” Alex explains. “While I’m still a fairly new songwriter, I put a lot of work and heart into these songs and I’m satisfied with how it turned out.”  When asked to describe his style and influences, he responded, “This is never an easy question to answer, but I think I borrow a bit from all the genres I’ve been exposed to over my lifetime, whether that be musical theater or indie rock. I’ve been told my chord progressions are sometimes of The Beatles, Elliott Smith, Radiohead, and sometimes John Mayer, though I just tend to write what sounds catchy to me at any particular moment.”

You can find Alex’s album on iTunes, Amazon, and Candyrat.com today!
