“You’re still willing to put that other person above yourself because you care too much,” he says. “The song is basically about the act of selflessness and the high that it gives you.”
Upon moving to LA from San Diego at just 17, Alex Shera adopted his new home as a blank canvas of infinite possibilities. The inner workings of Hollywood’s Pop Culture began to inspire the unique way in which Alex put pen to paper; creating a world built for the dreamers and romanticizing the souls that lost their way. Specifically, Alex taps his inspiration from the music of his youth (2000’s Pop Hits) mixed in with nostalgic love melodies and emphatic undertones. Artist influences include Lana Del Rey, Years & Years, The1975, Imogen Heap, and more recently Jeremy Zucker and Gus Dapperton.
