Halfnoise…Sudden Feeling

If you aren’t aware of Halfnoise then now is the perfect time to get acquainted.  The project of former Paramore drummer Zac Farro mixes elements of chillwave and indie and comes across as a quirkier M83 or a poppier Toro Y Moi.

Their album Sudden Feeling, came out in September and the title track has just been released with an accompanying video.

Shot in 16mm film by director Sam Kristofski, the video has the feel of a cult 70s TV show, surreal but captivating, dream-like but dreamy, and this sums Halfnoise up well. Infectious and catchy, you can get your dose live on a handful of UK dates in January:

11/1/16 – Manchester, UK – Deaf Institute
12/1/16 – Southampton, UK – Joiners
13/1/16 – London, UK – Lexington (Five Day Forecast) Sold Out
14/1/16 – Leeds, UK – Headrow House
16/1/16 – Birmingham, UK – O2 Academy
17/1/16 – Glasgow, UK – King Tuts Wah Wah Hut
19/1/16 – London, UK – Camden Assembly

As a lover of music, cats and chocolate it was inevitable that Paul would end up writing for us. A tireless singer/songwriter from the UK with a tiresome number of music projects, his worrying knowledge of the 80s and the evolution of crisps and confectionery (or chips and candy for our US readers) has seen him both gain jobs and lose friends.
